Hair Growth Cycles:
Hair grows in 3 phases: anagen- growth phase, catagen- regressing phase, and telogen- resting/ quiescent phase. Normally up to 90% of the hair follicles are in anagen (growth) phase while 10-14% are in telogen and 1-2% are in catagen. The cycle length varies on different parts of the body. For eyelashes and brows the cycle is completed in approximately 4 months, while it takes the scalp 3-4 years to finish. This is the reason brows and lashes have more of a fixed length, while hair on the head seems to have no length limit. Growth cycles are controlled by a chemical signal from a growth factor, also known as a peptide.

Using Lash Gel with Lash Extensions:
Strengthens natural lashes. Because the lashes are healthier, lash extensions stay on longer. Absorbs and dries completely, leaving no oily residue. Do not apply for at least 12 hours after new extensions are applied. Apply sparingly to the base of the lashes and eyelid skin. Technicians may apply gel to eyelash clients after a refill but should avoid applying it directly to the extensions. Does contain a small amount of castor oil, but not enough to dissolve lash adhesive if the adhesive is dry. The cause of losing extensions is usually because the eyelashes were not cleaned off well enough, not enough adhesive, old adhesive or hair type (smooth hair does not grasp the glue as well). There is a possibility that the product could break down certain adhesives but reputable brands are durable. Also, extension wearers know the extensions are not to be "scrubbed", they must be cleansed gently.
